Prof. Ibrahim Adeyanju Galaxy Backbone

Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB), Nigeria’s leading digital infrastructure and services provider, has launched a comprehensive four-year strategic plan (2025-2028) aimed at accelerating the Integrated Digital Transformation Strategy (IDTS) for government and businesses across Nigeria.

The plan is designed to enhance digital service delivery, strengthen connectivity, and support the nation’s vision of a fully integrated digital economy.

Developed in collaboration with key stakeholders, the strategy is built on five core pillars that will drive efficiency, innovation, and sustainability in Nigeria’s digital landscape.

These pillars are:

  • Resilient Digital Infrastructure: GBB plans to build and maintain secure, high-speed, and scalable digital platforms to meet the growing demand for seamless connectivity and data security. This initiative will ensure that government agencies and businesses have access to robust digital infrastructure capable of supporting the nation’s evolving needs.
  • Integrated Digital Ecosystems: The strategy emphasizes fostering collaboration between government, businesses, and local communities to create a more connected Nigeria. By breaking down silos and establishing a unified digital experience, GBB aims to enhance communication, innovation, and service delivery across sectors.
  • Innovative Service Delivery: GBB is committed to delivering tailored digital solutions that address the economic, social, and administrative needs of Nigeria. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies, the organization seeks to drive efficiency, economic growth, and improved public service delivery.
  • Digital Leadership & Trust: Recognizing the importance of trust in the digital era, GBB is prioritizing cybersecurity, transparency, and accountability. This pillar ensures that Nigeria’s digital infrastructure remains secure, reliable, and efficient, fostering confidence among users.
  • Financial Sustainability: To sustain its long-term impact, GBB is focusing on revenue growth through investments in innovative technologies and the expansion of its digital services. The organization aims to ensure affordability and accessibility for all users while maintaining financial viability.

At the core of this strategic roadmap is the goal of enhancing government efficiency, boosting economic development, and improving the overall digital experience for Nigerians. To achieve these objectives, GBB says it is actively engaging with government agencies, private sector players, and international and local partners to foster collaboration and accelerate implementation.

Head of Corporate Communications at Galaxy Backbone, Chidi Okpala,  emphasized the organization’s commitment to driving Nigeria’s digital transformation.

“Through our IDTS plan, we remain steadfast in our mission to deliver world-class infrastructure, secure connectivity, and innovative solutions that power progress. This strategic plan is a testament to our dedication to building a digitally inclusive and prosperous Nigeria,” he stated.
